I was baptized at the age of 15, and I knew my life had changed. As I sat there and listened to our pastor share what it meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ, there was a quickening in my soul. I wish I could say that from that point on I was in church every single Wednesday and Sunday, but that wasn’t the case. I did attend fairly regularly, and played organ (if you want to call it playing) most of the time I attended. Even then, I felt God calling me to ministry.
To me, the ability to be able to communicate through music has always been a gift from God. But using that talent has always been my gift back to God, whether in or out of church. But I came to realize that using ability from God in a Christian setting allows me to not just give back to God, but to also minister to his children. It allows me to invest in God’s kingdom and pass on the passion for music and unity that God has put in me.
I have been married to my wife Cheryl for 23 years. We have enjoyed doing ministry together and have two wonderful adult children, April and Brandon.
